SGS Plum & Nectarine Turnover Recipe
Golden, flaky, and filled with juicy SGS nectarines and plums, these turnovers are the perfect way to bring a little sweetness to your day.
Ingredients:
- 3 large SGS nectarines, thinly sliced (about 2 ½ cups)
- 3 SGS plums, thinly sliced (about 1 ½ cups)
- 3 tbsp light brown sugar
- 3 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of kosher salt
- 1 (17.3 oz) package frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed but still cold
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp whole milk, as needed

Recipe Instructions:
- Preheat & Prep: Set your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, toss together the nectarines, plums, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt until well coated. Set aside to let the flavors mingle.
- Roll & Cut: On a lightly floured surface, roll out each puff pastry sheet into a 12-inch square. Slice each into four 6-inch squares—you’ll have 8 total.
- Fill & Fold: Place about ⅓ cup of fruit filling in the center of each square. Brush the edges with the beaten egg, fold into a triangle, and press with a fork to seal. Pop them in the fridge for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Bake to Golden Perfection: Brush the tops with more beaten egg, cut three small slits on top for steam to escape, and bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky. Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Glaze & Enjoy: Whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 2 tbsp of milk until smooth. Add extra milk, 1 tsp at a time, if needed. Drizzle over the turnovers and enjoy every warm, fruit-filled bite!
